This Black history CPD session will help you to develop a toolkit of creative ideas for deepening discussions, encouraging inclusivity and engaging with challenging topics.
Working with artist facilitator Ella Phillips, you will explore four themes inspired by the four films in Culture Mile Learning’s Our Stories online resource: representation, language, safe spaces and activism. Within the context of Black history, you will explore art as a form resistance and how this can create meaningful conversations in the classroom setting.
This will be a dynamic session that will give you the confidence to embed Black history into your teaching across subject areas.
