This virtual workshop sits perfectly within a bridges topic.
Pupils will discover the different types of bridge which make up Tower Bridge and their strengths and weaknesses. They will then conduct a practical bridge building experiment, constructing different types of paper bridge to test which shapes are strongest. Finally, they will review their results and their relevance to the engineering of Tower Bridge.
This remote session is available for free.
Please note that schools will be required to provide the resources needed to complete the bridge experiment. Additional purchases are unlikely to be needed and suitable resources will be discussed during the booking process.
