Black History Month commences in the month of October in the UK and it is a month dedicated to celebrating and highlighting Black History and the work of prominent black people, who may have been left out of mainstream, white-centric history. This event has been celebrated for more than 30 years.
The Education Strategy Unit at City of London Corporation, along with our partners, have collated a collection of learning opportunities within a Learning Journey which focuses on the theme of Black History Month, the Listings include Black British Art History and Teacher CPD sessions.
Choose a few Listings or aim to complete the full Learning Journey by exploring and finishing the activities within each Listing.
