Peoples Learning is responsible for the learning and development of staff in the Peoples Directorate of the Department of Community and Children's Services.

The Peoples Directorate consists of five service areas:
* Children's Social Care (inc Early Help Service)
* Adult Social Care (inc Occupational Therapy & Reablement Services)
* Homelessness Prevention & Rough Sleeping (inc Benefits, Tenancy Support & Advice Services)
* Education & Early Years
* Safeguarding & Quality Assurance
