Exploring your local area is an exciting and fascinating way to discover history and the changes which have taken place in your local area over time. Find out what stories lie behind local landmarks and discover the different people who lived and worked in your community. Photographs, documents, plans and prints provide the evidence to piece together the puzzle of the past!

Students will develop geographical skills by the researching the history of the area around their school. They will use online historic maps and image libraries, as well as archives to gather information and identify key features and of their local area.
