Aimed at 16+ this resource uses the painting The Ninth of November by William Logsdail in the Guildhall Art Gallery to examine the role of The Lord Mayor of the City of London. The painting contrasts the pomp and ceremony of the Lord Mayor’s Show with the poverty of Victorian Londoners lined up watching the procession pass outside the Royal Exchange and the Bank of England.
