Originally created as a resource for families exploring the art in the Guildhall Art Gallery collection, this resource could be used in primary schools or Key Stage 3 to prompt creative responses to artworks by Black artists and depicting Black British history.

The artworks used in this resource include Top Shelf by Liz Johnson Artur (2018), Tower Bridge by Uzo Egonu (1969), Portrait sculpture of Terry-Thomas by Ron Moody (1952), Girl with Fruit by Sir John Gilbert (1882) and Charing Cross by James Holmes (1832).

Prompts for creativity include doing a photography project, painting, sculpture, portraiture and writing.
