This introductory free webinar will introduce your school to educational charity, the English-Speaking Union (ESU), whose focus is on ensuring that all young people are able to make their voice heard. The session will introduce you to some of the latest thinking around oracy, the ESU oracy skill sets, free resources and programmes.  A great opportunity to network with schools across the country and begin building a sustainable culture of oracy in your school. The session will cover:

  • Why should oracy be part of the whole school curriculum?
  • How does the ESU support your students to ‘discover their voice’ – improving confidence, wellbeing, academic outcomes, oral language skills and raising aspirations?
  • What resources, support and training are available to teachers and students?

Hosted by Matthew Christmas (ESU’s Head of Engagement and former Headteacher) & Ameena Khan Sullivan (ESU Senior Education Officer, former Oracy Trainer and Applied Linguistics Researcher).

Free to all schools with facilitated Q&A.
